start to finish time - marriage visa

Hi

I am about to start the application for the US marriage visa. Hopefully should be fairly straight forward although time consuming.

Can anyone currently going through the process or just completed advise of the elapsed time? I'm thinking 4-6 months?

Just trying to plan ahead for the next 1 year.

Thanks

From petition to obtaining visa it's more like 8 to 10 months.

It depends on whether the USC spouse lives in the UK, which would permit a Direct Consul lar Filing (DCF). A DCF likely takes 6-8 months, a filing in the US, around 8-10 months.

This was answered in a previous thread. The times haven't changed.
