SS number and request for I 688b or I 766 form
 

Hi:
My wife and I went to the SS office in Las Vegas with the application filled
out, my wife had her passport and the i-94 stamp ..She arrived on a k-3..
The guy said that she cant get a SS # without INS form I 688 b or I 766 ..I
looked on the web for these forms and couldnt find them...Help

That's the card you need from INS. You need to submit the I-765 to get one.

Both I-688B and I-766 are Employment Authrorization Documents.
You don't download them, INS issues them based on your application.

I believe the I-688B is valid for 90 days and the I-766 is valid for a
year.
My understanding is that K-3 requires EAD to work.
