Spouse visa denials from London embassy?
Just wondering, out of interest - how common or rare are spouse (non-immigrant K3 or the immigrant visa) visa refusals from the London embassy?
Assuming there is no criminal history, bad immigration history or medical problems, and that the financial support is fine and US domicile is clear - do many people actually get denied at interview stage because of lack of proof of bona fide relationship, or is it quite rare in London?

Re: Spouse visa denials from London embassy?
Out of the hundreds of interview experiences I have personally read, none were asked to show additional evidence of the relationship to the interviewing officer.

Unlike an "adjustment of status" in the US, an immigrant visa application at a consular post is not "discretionary." In other words, an application cannot be denied simply because the person is not deserving.
That said, if the interview reveals something new that DHS was not aware of in adjudicating the I-130 and might call the I-130 into doubt, the visa will be denied on 221(g) and the petition returned to DHS for review. It does happen -- in LND not all that often, but it does happen.
Addendum: obtaining the visa is no guarantee of obtaining a green card. The POE inspection lies ahead. Obtaining a green card is no guarantee of keeping it. There is removal of the condition [if applicable] and later naturalization [again if applicable]. I once had a Scottish client where everything blew up at the time of the naturalization application -- the relationship was bogus.
