Spousal Visa

Spousal Visa
My wife is a Canadian, she lives in Canada and holds a TN-I94 Multiple Entry/Exit Visa to work in the U.S. We would like to move her down to the U.S. and get permanent residency and live with me. But we are being told she would have to quit work while we file for a permanent residency or a green card.
Is there a way around this or is this even true. Or is there a different way to file and get her into the states as a PR.
Thanks

Never dealt with this situation, but recently applied for a green card and
it wasn't required to give up any previous visa. To be on the safe side you
could apply for a working permit based on your pending green card
application (takes around 40 days after submission of your green card
application) but that already might be a waste of your 120 dollars.
