hi all,

asking on behalf of a friend:

She is currently working using her practical training and hoping her firm will
sponsor her for H-1B and ultimately for green card. Is she entitled to get her her
social security tax now, or does the firm have to have it withheld? is that going to
affect her status and what is generally the rule of thumb regarding this?

Thanks in advance

R.
