Default SO VERY COMPLICATED VISA QUESTIONS!!! I NEED ADVICE!

Details:
I am a british citizen, have been in the US for 7 years.
Trying to move husband and son, both americans back to the UK.

Questions:
Do I put them both on the settlement visa application?
Do I have to pay the 500 quid app fee twice for each of them?
Or,
Do I need a visa 'returning resident'? and can I put them all on that visa?
We are hoping to apply online by the end of the week and I can't seem to get these answers on any of the websites.
Thanks in advance for the help!

If you are a British citizen with a UK passport then, no, you don't need a visa of any kind.

Your son may be eligible for a UK passport - have a look here for further information. If so then he does not require a visa either.

Be aware that it can take over a month for a first passport so you'll want to check that out and get it sorted if that's the case.

Your best bet it to go to the uk-yankee.com website which has all the information, (and forums) you need to sort out visas for the UK.

You: You don't need a visa, but have you thought about getting your American citizenship before you leave?

Son : If you were born in the United Kingdom, he's British already. Get him a British consular birth certificate and British passport.

Husband: Spouse visa, http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk

You can ask for more detail at http://www.immigrationboards.com
