Default Simple AOS Question

Or I think it's simple, anyway. :-)

Once a person enters the U.S. on a K-3 visa, can they apply for Adjustment
of Status immediately, or do they have to wait for the I-130 to be approved?

Thanks!

The person may his or her I-485 immediately at the district CIS office
with jurisdiction over his place of residence together with a fee
receipt for the I-130, though in some instances it may be simpler just
to file a new I-130, rather than suffer the delays involved with the
local district office digging the original I-130 out of the RSC it was
filed in.
