Should we go for I130 or K3?
 

Dear all,

We got the K3 interview letter last week which is scheduled on June 12. And today, we got another letter which is the approval notice for our I130. Here is our question: should we go for our interview and get the K3 visa first, and make AOS when we get to US. Or should we wait and go the I130 way?

It depends on your motivation and circumstances. I-130 will get you 'done' quicker. It would be my choice, between the 2.

I concur. This way you spouse will come as an immigrant than a
non-immigrant; and it will spare you the hassle of filing an aos. You
may have to wait just a tad more, but it well worth it, in my opinion.

It's a personal choice. The CR-1/IR-1 visa interview would take time.
First the approval has to get to there, and then they have to schedule
the interview. The advantage is that with this visa, you can enter the
US as a permanent resident and avoid EAD, AP, AOS, and other hassles.
