We just got our second notice, and we got approved finally. But now what is the next step?
Is there anyway to expedite the process of sending the documents to the Embassy, can I call the embassy ahead and get an appointment? Any suggestions or tips is greatly appreciated

Expediting is not a word in the USCIS dictionary sadly.

Your case will be forwarded from your service center to NVC before going to your specific Consulate.
Depending on your particular case and the country your spouse is in seems to dictate the speed that NVC handle your case.

You can call and enquire with NVC about your case:

0700-334-0700 (press 1, and then 2 at the automated greeting. If you are returned to the main menu due to weight of calls, just hang up and try again until you are queued for an operator)

You will need to have your service center receipt number handy but be aware that when NVC receive your file, they will give it a new number.
