hi scott,
i read your post today, very helpful thank you![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
my question is to confirm if i understand correctly:
you received receipt of AOS packet(?) in march, and you will have AOS
interview in early june? that is fast!
i am trying to find out how long it will take to get AP (EAD already
received last month).the fingerprinting is scheduled for this week. AP
will be 90 days this week as well, but the letter in the mail only
mentioned fingerprinting appointment, not AP papers pick-up. how long
should we expect to wait after fingerprinting appointment for AP, and
later for AOS interview?
thanks! best of luck to you and nanette at the interview!!

Your correct in your version of my timeline. I sent in the whole package a few weeks before March and they returned it to me because I overpaid. The reason for the overpayment was because I paid the fingerprint fee. I later learned that K1's in Seattle do not require fingerprinting. I re-submitted everything and received a reciept in the mail about 1 week later.
I assume that since you are going through some sort of finger printing that you are not going through with the K1 thing as we are and that may possibly effect the wait time as compared to mine. I am not sure, but perhaps AOS processes have different time frames based on what the entry visa was. I am really not sure. I am sure though that if you are dealing with Seattle that it will go fast. It seems as though everyhting that I do with them is pretty speedy![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hope this helps...

thank you Scott! those are encouraging words. you are right, this is
not exactly the same (I-130 based AOS)..i don't know much about K1
visas, but as you said if it is Seattle, then things should go fast.
if anyone else in Seattle wants to include your experiences, you are
welcome!
thanks everyone!

Kenneth,
I filed around the same time Scott did, to be specific February 26, 2004. I will be fingerprinted on the 19th of May, and I just received my interview date today. It will be June 26th. So yes, this is a lot faster than I thought. If you don't already have it. Get the cover letter checklist from Scott. I followed it, and I do credit that for perhaps speeding things up a little bit. I am filing AOS from my K3 visa.
