Schedule A question...
have an employer intersted in sponsoring me for a work visa. I have done some research and see that I can most likely apply for Schedule A group II, as I am in the arts. Anyway, wondering if anyone can tell me about how long it will take for this to be processed from FL? Also, would I be able to take everything to the local office and get EAD right away while all other documents are being processed? I know I will need to talk to a lawyer before me and my employer do anything I just wanted to get a head ups on the situation. Thanks all!

Schedule A Group II is a type of I-140 employment-based petition. For a
Florida employer, the petition will be filed with the INS Texas Service
Center. You may file Form I-485 concurrently with the I-140, together with
Form I-765 which requests employment authorization. However, INS will check
the I-140 to be sure it is approvable, before adjudicating the I-765. I
would guess that the I-765 might be approved about 6 months after the
I-140/I-485/I-765 are filed.
You may be able to go to your INS district office and get an interim EAD
(employment authorization document) 90 days after INS-TSC receives the
I-765.
You and your employer might consider getting you O-1 status before or
simultaneously with the permanent process, because if you do not have an
ongoing temporary worker status, and anything goes wrong with the permanent
process, you have nothing to fall back on and you may jeopardize your
ability to hold continuous legal status. If a premium processing fee is
filed, INS-TSC will adjudicate the O-1 petition within two weeks.
Also, would I be

As I said above, not right away. At the earliest, 90 days after the I-765
was received by the INS-TSC.
