Does anyone have a sample of the intent to marry letter that is
needed? I thought of just writing, we intend to get married as soon as
my fiancee is approved. Is that enough or do I need something more
formal.

Hi Dennis-
that's what we did:
"I, ________, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry _________, and intend to do so within 90 days of her entry into the United States using the K-1 Visa. Our intended wedding date, pending timely approval of the I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) and K-1 Visa is _______.
Signed,
___________"
Got it somewhere from the web, but don't remember the actual site (just blame the heat, LOL)!
Hope it helps

Dennis, these were our statements. We made them slightly different
just so it didn't look like we signed our names to identical sheets!
Hope this helps:
****DATE****
To the United States Government:
I, Olivia XXXXXXXX, do hereby state that it is my sincere intention to
marry James XXXXXXXX, and that I intend to do so within 90 days of
arriving in the United States under the K-1 visa.
At this time, our intended wedding date is XXXXXX, pending
confirmation. Plans have been made to hold an intimate ceremony with a
few loved ones in Las Vegas in the days following my arrival in
California, after which a larger ceremony and reception will be
organized for extended family and friends.
Sincerely,
.
Olivia XXXXXX
