Hi there- My fiancee (from Russia) and I are currently awaiting approval of our
petition... I know that the embassy requires in addition to medical exam, police
reports from her past places of residence.

I would like to get the jump on obtaining these reports while awaiting approval,
however I do not know the exact requirements on how she would obtain these. She will
have to obtain police reports from the cities of Elabuga and Kazan, but will these
require some special form to obtain? If she simply calls the police departments in
these cities and asks for them will they know what she is talking about?

If anyone who has been through this could give me some pointers, I would
appreciate it...
