My husband came to the US on the K3, had his medical in London....handed over the brown envelope at the aiport and now we received a RFE for the I-693. I did not included that with the AOS packet, due to the fact that we already had a medical done Feb. 2006 in London, I did however include the I-693A vaccine supplement. We have no other proof of the medical, except for the receipt of payment to the CS and his xrays. What do we do? The stress is giving my husband headaches (won't be stress free until he has his green card in his hands...poor baby).I don't have the money to piss away on another medical when this one is still less than a 7 months old.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anytime you receive an RFE, you have a few choices in how to respond. The one thing you CAN'T do is ignore it...you must respond. You can either:
Provide them with a new medical (which as you said, is not necessary);
Provide them with anything else you can (not much to do here, since you already did turn in the vacc supplement);
Provide them with a letter explaining the situation, and asking them to please process the AOS based on the information already provided (which is the medical he already turned in).
That said, I have heard of people whose medical was somehow missing from their file, even though they DID get one done overseas. In those cases they went ahead and got a new medical here in the USA.
Also, if you filed AOS more than a year after his medical was done overseas, then a new one is needed.
Best Wishes,
Rene

I sure the RFE was generated by the person who opens the package to check contents. Probably doesn't know that the medical was done for the K-3. I would go with Noorah's suggestion of writing them advising me that the medical was completed in 2/06 and given to the US Consulate. They won't have your husband's original file because that is waiting to be sent to the local office when your petitions are sent there for the interview.

I had a similar problem at my Aos interview. The officer said everything was fine except medical report from my K3. So rather then wait for them to trace my medical report, i called the clinic where i had my meds done(Canada) and very sweetly asked them to send me a copy of my medical report in a sealed envelope addressed to Uscis. I also sent them my pics to attach to the file. I called my local CIS office and spoke to the officer who conducted my interview and told him that i have asked for the copies sent over and he said it was fine. I delivered the envelope to the local office and now just waiting to hear from them.
Hope this helps
