RFE for I-131 advance parole, is that common?
My lawyer filed for advance parole at TSC based on a 485 pending
(empplyment based) I can see on the website that they send an RFE (six
months after filing). Is this common i thought advance parole was
pretty straight forward, what kind of stuff do they usually send RFEs
for?
I called the customer support number but they dont have any additional
information, they only told me that if my lawyer does not get the
letter in 14 days to give them a call
I was relying on the AP to go and visit my grand mother that is very
sick, any ideas if i am still eligible for emergency AP?
Thanks
K.

IF you can get a doctor's letter that she is critically sick, you could
use that at your nearest office for a walk-in application. It is approved
in many cases where proper papers can support your claim.
Typically you need to submit the following with your I-131 application:
- Copy of a photo-id (passport)
- Current Status
- Copy of I-485 receipt
- Statement in support of the application, explaining the need for
Advance Parole
- Copies of Past approval, if any.
If any of these are missing, or if USCIS want's to see some other
documentation specific to your case, you could get an RFE for it.

I am not a lawyer and
this is not a legal advice.

Re: RFE for I-131 advance parole, is that common?
Just wanted to let you know I got the RFE, they are asking for copy of
the approved I140, like they dont have that in the computers records,
all the need to do is to type my A number, I bet this kind of RFEs
will help reduce the backlog
