Ok, I know this may seem silly, but I read another thread (which I deleted by
mistake) about registering a marriage in Portugal I believe, for it to be
recognised there.

It got me thinking. I chose to keep my maiden name so all my documents ie. drivers
licence, bank details, passport etc is still in my maiden name. As I married in the
States there is no record with our Registrar here in the UK of my marriage. It seems
to me that I may have to go along and tell them. As to all intent and purposes I am
still single here in my home country. Correct?
