Hi folks,
Yesterday (10th Jan) I received the letter stating that our AOS interview
date is scheduled for Feb 27th at 10:30 am.
This was much quicker than we expected, but seeing that I received my EAD
card after only a month I wasn't too surprised.
Here's my timeline:
Nov 12th - Mailed AOS package
Nov 13th - Received by INS
Nov 19th - Cheques cleared
Dec 30th - Interview for EAD card
Jan 10th - Received letter stating AOS interview date
Feb 27th - Scheduled AOS interview date
Hope this gives a rough guide for anyone else interested in timelines for
Seattle.

Wow! My husband and I are stressing because we didn't have any idea
how long it would take for the EAD interview letter to come. It looks
from your posting, that we don't have too much longer to wait. We
went to the Portland INS office twice before they realized that we had
to go up to Seattle to apply for AOS and EAD...since I live right over
the border from Portland in Washington....they couldn't even tell us
that we had to go to Seattle until 1 INS officer finally realized it!!
We went to Seattle on Dec. 23rd, were treated horrible by the Security
guards at the front door, and finally after 2 hrs we were able to get
inside the building after waiting for 3 hrs outside freezing to death.
Finally handed over the paperwork for AOS and EAD and were told by
the "oh so friendly" lady she couldn't tell us how long it would take
for the EAD appt. letter.
This is great that I have a little insight into how long it will take
now, my husband is going crazy sitting at home while I work...I see a
light at the end now!

Thanks for the info, Luanne. We'll be filing for AOS through Seattle in May. Hope we don't have a long wait either![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Nice to see some other Washingtonians on the board as well!
