Rec'd extended EAD for another year

Rec'd extended EAD for another year
We put in for John's EAD extension in July and just rec'd the new card valid for another year today. I wish the background checks would get done. This is such a pain

Cindy, how long has it been since you have been waiting? Perhaps it is time to contact CIS by making an infopass appointment and checking it out in person. Or perhaps an inquiry from your local political rep might do the trick.

John's AOS interview was August 2, 2004. They told us everything was fine except our background checks weren't back. They took more fingerprints and signed another card and told us to check back December1m 2004!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Sorry but this is crazy. He supplied the USCIS with a police report of his life from birth to two months before he came over (which was clean) so how hard is it to background two months and the time here?!?!?!?!?!
