Re: What steps to legalize my Mexican wife?
I'm just another rude and uncultured American, so of course you'll
understand if I don't
do everything correctly (or at least as you think I should).
I will admit to being a newsgroup newbie, and I am trying very much not
to make too many gaffes.
The only way to make NO mistakes is to do NOTHING at all. I am trainable.
It was someone from britishexpats who answered my post in
misc.immigration.usa & informed me I should be posting here instead (thank
you, whoever you are) so I did, OK? If you've got a problem with that,
perhaps you should take it up with your fellow expatriate(s)
Thanks everyone for the help received so far. I'm sure I'll need more
before this is over....

Well you are in the right place, direct route is:
http://britishexpats.com/forum/newre...eply&p=1859591
Basically if she came here legally even if she has overstayed you should have few problems. If you have an issue with paperwork, you might want to use an Immigration Lawyer.
If she did not enter legally, that is another issue entirely
Read all about it:

Bristishexpats is only a nice website that lets you access the visa newsgroups. Very few people are actually Bristish.

No hard feelings, go back and check out the info and we'll start over. I'm sure there are plenty here who will be happy to answer your questions about filing AOS with your new wife.
By all means feel free to read/post via bitishexpats.com
I'm American, and I do.
