A quick question prior to Interview/Medical

Just a quick one...
I just had my letter from the embassy about doing the DS-156 form etc etc, and to arrange the medical.
My question is that I don't have to have an interview date before I arrange the medical do I? I want to go ahead and arrange the medical while I'm filling in and sending these next forms off; that's OK isn't it?
Cheers. Neil.

Thank you. I thought that would be the case.
On another issue, I wonder if the website and form info contradict each other to deliberately confuse, e.g.
Website: "Do NOT send any documents to the Embassy with these forms. The documents must be presented to the consular officer on the day of the visa interview".
DS-156K Form: "The following documents MUST be attached in order to apply for a fiance nonimmigrant visa, birth certificate.....".

Follow the Embassy instructions vs the form instructions. Also, check the wiki here for London-specific guides from previous applicants.
The forms are used all over the world and each Consulate can have their own specific local procedure.
You definitely take your evidence (documents) to the interview, but submit your forms in advance.
