Default Quick Question - I129F

I was wondering when we make this I129F application, do we need to show our fiancial support or is that not until later in the process? We wondered as we would need to ask a family relative to be a joint sponsor, and wondered whether they would need to get involved at this stage or until later in the process.

sorry if this is a basic question, I've looked into the forms and I don't think we need to, but after reading the forum Iwas under the impression the USc may need to show their finacial support......

thanks for your help in advance!

I believe the sponsorship is required for the K-1 application, not the I129F petition.

So you have a few months I believe.

The I-129f gets approved. It gets transferred over (about a month I believe). You are then invited to apply for the K-1. You send in the forms in your own time - sort of.

The petition has a validity (4 months I think) so you are supposed to apply and interview during that time. They can extend the validity though.
