Questions getting ready for consular interview-Thailand K1
We are getting ready for our consular interview. My fiancé has a 4 year old
daughter.
Do we need a police report, medical report and $100 visa fee for her, as
well as for my fiancé? Does she need to go with my fiancé to the interview
at the embassy?
Do I need to go to the interview at the embassy?
I was under the impression based on all the scanned copies of paperwork I've
seen online that the stuff I asked about above was only needed for my
fiancé. But, I saw a paper my fiancé received in Packet #3 that seems to
contradict that assumption. Thanks for the help.

Hi John,
Can I suggest that you have EVERYTHING for all of you ready on the day for the interview, photos, fee's, medicals, support affidavid etc. Especially if you do not have any issues that would possibly lead to not receiving your visa's (eg, overstays, criminal history etc), you could then receive them then and there. If you are together in Thailand, you should both go - especially for support.
Assuming things at BCIS Thailand are the same as in Australia. I know that their process time is fast.
Good luck to you guys
Sue

Re: Questions getting ready for consular interview-Thailand K1
We do have all our paperwork ready for my fiancé. But I still have these
questions:
We are getting ready for our consular interview. My fiancé has a 4 year old
daughter.
1) Do we need a police report, medical report and $100 visa fee for her, as
well as for my fiancé?
2) Does she need to go with my fiancé to the interview at the embassy?
3) Do I need to go to the interview at the embassy? (I live in the US and
would have to travel to Thailand if I am required to go also.)
I was under the impression based on all the scanned copies of paperwork I've
seen online that the stuff I asked about above was only needed for my
fiancé. But, I saw a paper my fiancé received in Packet #3 that seems to
contradict that assumption. Thanks for the help.

It's a separate visa application and visa for the child, hence the need
for the second fee. It is only one I-129F petition, but 2 visas. For
AOS, you will also need double fees. The police report is not need due
to age. A medical report is needed for the same reason it is needed for
an adult.

I understand. Thank you very much for clarifying and confirming what I
thought was needed.
