Questions about timing between medical appointment and interview

My husband had his medical appointment on Monday December 17th and his interview on Thursday December 20th. We knew that his medical results wouldn’t be to the US Embassy in time for the interview obviously but it took much longer for the medical results to be sent because we had to get additional information from my husband’s doctor to give to the visa medical doctor and once they had that they would send our results. The medical office received our additional documents on Wednesday January 2nd and they said the results would be sent to the embassy by Friday January 4th at the latest. The visa interview went great and we were told that they were just waiting on the medical results. How long does it normally take for the medical results to get from Knightsbridge to the US Embassy in London? Also, how long does it normally take for the us embassy to issue the visa and send us the envelope with everything in it once they receive the medical results? It’s a marriage based visa.

Figure a week to get there and be processed, then another week for the visa to be issued and sent out. YMMV. Obviously don't book any flights until you have the visa in hand.

For that, there is no "normal". It depends on the case load at the embassy, how busy the officer looking at your case is, etc. It can be anywhere from a couple to several weeks or so.
