QUESTIONS ?? About filling I-129f
.Sheila from United States...Clive (fiancee) from United Kingdom
1. I am in the United Kingdom on a visitor visa for 6 months, and I leave here in
August, can I fill out the I-129f forms from here .
2. I have seen the forms and a couple of the questions confused me the first is the
first question Family name in Caps...do I use the name I have now which is from my
previous marriage, but have not changed. Or do I use my maiden name?
3.Names of prior husban/wife..do I put the date of the marriage and the date of
the divorce?
4.On the part which states to list all children of my fiancee...he has a child which
he only knows the name of and no other information...he does not intend to bring
the child along. Do we need to put his name on the form? Or do we leave it blank?
Thanks in Advance, Sheila

I'm pretty sure you can fill out the forms anywhere you want - are you asking if you
can mail them from the UK (sorry I couldn't resist that). I believe you can send them
from the US - someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You use your current legal name. There is another space where you fill in other
names used, that is where you will put your maiden name. I had to do the same thing
on my I-129F

date of

Yes - it asks for date and place of marriage and date and place of divorce. You will
also need to include a copy of your divorce decree or certificate of divorce.

He should complete as much as he knows. Omitting information is the same as lying,
and lying on an INS application can get it denied.
