Default Question re I864 or I864A

Hi All,

My husband's interview is this Tuesday and he's completed the I864 on the basis that his job will be the same, his income will be the same source and our daughter is already a US citizen. He just wants to check that the I864A is not required because she is not considered an accompanying dependent due to her US citizen status.

Can anybody confirm this?

Thank you!

I think you mean that your I-864 will include his income because his income comes from the same source. Your husband is the immigrant... he doesn't complete an I-864.

It has nothing to do with her being a USC... there's no need for an I-864A because she's not a contributing household member whose income is required to top up the I-864.

You have completed the I-864.

...on the basis that his job will be the same, his income will be the same source....
You mean you have completed the I-864, including your husband's income because his income will continue from the same source once inside the USA.

... and our daughter is already a US citizen.
This has nothing to do with the I-864.

He just wants to check that the I864A is not required because she is not considered an accompanying dependent due to her US citizen status.
The I-864A is not required because there is no contributing household member's income on the I-864. It has nothing to do with the daughter being a USC.
