Yes, this question has been asked before. Yes, I have been trying to find the answer elsewhere on the web. Sorry.
On question 36 of Form DS156 Non Immigrant Visa Application, does anybody know whether I should answer yes or no to 'Has anyone ever filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on your behalf?'
My fiance filed the I-129f. I am unclear as to whether this visa is technically classed as 'Non Immigrant' or 'Immigrant'. Do they mean present applications, or prior to this application?
Once again - sorry for taking up precious time with this repeated question!

Hi DawnA,
as far as I know, the K-1 is a NONimmgrant visa- and the I-129F just the preliminary act to be entitled for application...
