Filed in August 2002. Received yellow receipt after a week. Got my EAD through the walk-in method at the NYC INS office. Henceforth have not received any more.
When will I get the appointment notice for the advance parole (AP)? I need it to travel to London for academic purposes as early as possible although I would not be able to provide any "emergency-type documentation". Is it probable that the INS will give me an AP if I went to the INS office?
Thanks.

Send in a status inquiry letter, with copy of your filing receipt and
a copy of your EAD as the last notice you received from INS, and
specify that you have not received any appointment notice. You should
get an appointment notice as the response.

Could you please share your experience regarding "walk in" EAD thing in NYC? I am going to NYC in the end of November to get my EAD and now am gathering all information about the whole process.
Thanks in advance.

Did you get your EAD on walk-in method after filing for it in August
2002? Or did you file for your EAD earlier than August?
