Hello!
I am petitioning for permanent residency for my husband. We are both living out of the US.
I have a question about the G-325a form. Please, if you don't know the answer, but know of a good FAQ for this, let me know.
At the bottom of the page of the G-325a, there is a question with a set of check boxes.
The question is "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:".
The choices are: "Naturalization" or "Status as Permanent Resident" or "Other (Specify):"
I am thinking I should choose "Status as Permanent Resident" , because eventually that is what we want.
However, the I-130 form is called "Petition for Alien Relative", and doesn't explicitly say anything about "Status as Permanent Resident". Does this mean that I should instead check "Other (Specify):" and then specify I-130, petition for alien relative?
Please help, thank you!

Either of your two choices are accurate. Your I-130 will be approved immediately at submission (I read your other post) and the G-325a won't hold you back, whichever answer you choose. (my guess is the I-130 answer is the most conservative/accurate & I think that's what we wrote)
You also get the option, with your type of case, to ask the officer when you're making your submission. If they have a preference, they'll let you know. My petitions and applications had yellow sticky notes all over them.

Good luck with your DCF case!

Thanks for your help! And the sticky-note idea is a good one
