Question about expiring EAD
Hi all,
I am doing employment-based AOS (through Vermont SC). My EAD will
soon expire, and I have applied for a new one. However, looking at
the processing times, it looks like my new one won't be here anytime
soon. My questions are:
1. What happens if the new EAD doesn't come in time? What is my
status? Can I continue to work?
2. In some places, I have seen reference to an interim EAD. Would
this apply to my situation? If so, where do I go to get one? What
would I need to bring with me?
Many thanks.

Unfortunately, without a valid EAD you are technically not allowed to work.

Some local offices will issue an interim EAD if the application has been
pending for more than 90 days. See
