Default question

Hi everyone, I gave an invitation to a relative of mine. He went to
the US embassy in Dubai and was rejected. If he goes to the US
embassy in Turkey, would the US embassy in Turkey know that I had
given him an invitation before? Thanks in advance for your help.
Thank you.

Yes they would. He will have a rejection stamp in his passport. Once you are
rejected, you have to re-apply at the same embassy. What was the reason for the
rejection. If he does not satisfy those reasons, there is no point in applying
again.

And in addition, the State Department maintains computer databases in which
this visa refusal has been recorded. Generally, the INS and the State
Department are checking databases before adjudicating applications. See
http://www.asis.org/Bulletin/Oct-02/...rd_part_i.html,
particularly under State Department, CLASS and CCD.

Thank you all for your help. The person has a new passport, I am not
sure why she was rejected. Does the database also have my name in it
(as the person who gave the invitation?) I hope not, these days I
don't want my name in any government databases whatsoever :o)
