Hi,
I have read that starting Jan 1 2005, the I-485 (Employment Based EB3
category for Indian Nationals) approval is available to only those
applicants whose priority date is before Jan 1 2002. Which means that
if your prioity date is in 2002 your I-485 will definitely not get
approved till the date becomes current, even though you have applied
for I-140, I-485 in 2003.
Please let me know if this is right..
Thanks,

Yes, that is right. The I-485 will remain pending, and you can continue to
get EADs, year after year, until your priority date becomes current and
USCIS is able to approve the I-485.
