Default Previous marriages an issue?

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not a previous divorce can effect a marriage based residency arrangement?

Thanks.

A large number of people on this newsgroup have been married before.
It's a non issue for most locations. However, it might be an issue for
getting an immigration or fiance visa from some locations that seem to
think non-traditionalism and visa fraud are synonymous. For instance,
Mumbai appears to view anything out of the local cultural norm, such as
an Indian man marrying an American women with kids, to be a red flag.

In the majority of cases, as long as you have the divorce cerficate (the
final one), prior marriage should not be an issue.
