Apfel - my contact at the embassy in Germany told me your syphilis blood test came back positive............................... (just kidding!)

no criminal record - i got a police cert back in september but uderstand i my have to apply for an updated one given the time lag....

For immigration purposes, a police certificate is valid for 1 year from date of issue. So if your visa interview ends up being before September 2013, you should be OK with the one you have.

You will need to bring a photocopy of that police certificate to your medical exam.
