Help settle a dispute please, are the poverty line guidelines, (minimum income levels) for Affidavit of Support net or gross?

The "Gross Income" line on the 1040 forms. BTW, there is no "net income" level -- there is "gross income", "adjusted gross income" and then "taxable income."

Note I referenced the **1040** form. Do not, repeat NOT, for those of your self-employed types filing Schedule C, use the gross income from that schedule -- it is the gross income from the 1040.
