We met on an email listserv for a TV show we both liked. Emailed each other off list for about 18 months before we first met in person at the end of 1998. A few trips back and forth across The Pond for each of us that next year and we got engaged on January 1st, 2000. He moved over on my birthday in 2001 and we got married in March of that same year.
