Please....Help!!
I am going in front of an immigration judge for an adjustment of
status from non-immigrant to that of immigrant. I am out of status and
my wife is a US citizen. I was told that this judge will seperate us
and ask us all kind of question. I am very afraid....eventhough we got
married for love, my wife went to jail..she is now in a halfway house
and will come with me to the court....My question is what kind of
questions will I expect to answer. One of the question asked by this
judge is what color and model of the alarm clock the couple had. Thank
you for any help you can give...

I hope you find a good solution, I'd suggest you talk to a lawyer
due to severity of your problem. At this stage, you need to talk
to a professional.

Are you really going in front of a judge, or just for an interview? What
you are describing sounds more like an interview.
Most couples who got married for love report that they have no problem
whatsoever with the interview. The interview process is designed to weed
out people who didn't get married for love, and supposed to be
particularly easy for "real" couples, and particularly difficult for
"fake" couples.
The specific technique you mention is something I have heard rumors about,
but have also been told that USCIS discontinued this practice, at least in
most cases, years ago. Regardless, they won't hold it against you if you
get a few answers wrong - it's the overall impression that counts. In
fact, getting just one question right, and the others with "I don't know"
may well be enough, depending on what the question is and what the overall
impression is that you are giving off. Plus, this question about the alarm
clock would be something that wouldn't even make much sense if your wife
isn't living with you...
There is a lot of common sense involved, too.
By the way, there is a movie that shows this interview technique. It's
called "Green Card", and about 15 years old by now. Please do NOT believe
everything from that movie, but I think the overall idea is pretty
realistic (in that they show an interview that is difficult to pass for a
fake couple, but would be trivial for a real one, for instance). If you do
watch that movie, also keep in mind that it describes a "fake" couple.
Since you are a real couple, your ending would be different.

At least this is a question I could answer without problem. However, I
have no clue whatsoever what kind of face cream my wife uses. (That was
one of the fictitious questions on "Green Card", the movie.)
