I beg to differ. Go into any Snappy Snaps and ask for US-style passport photographs. They will know what to do!

The fact is that my statement is true, in that those who frequent this forum and who have gone through the process in London recently and used 45x35mm photographs, have had no problems whatsoever.

Hi everyone, thanks again for all your replys! I am going to post in a different thread about my "Applying for Visa Experience" suffice to say I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!! And am SOOOOOOOOOO excited now!
I had one small glitch in that I need to send off for the newer police cert which came in in February this year but the Visa is approved other than that! I just use their courier service to send them the cert!
As far as the photos are concerned; I certainly would believe that the smaller photo has been accepted however based on the unpredictable nature of this process I would Strongly advise anyone to get the proper size! They are not readily available in Northern Ireland but from arriving in Paddington Station right until I was inside the Embassy the 2 x 2 inch version can be purchased! And I mean RIght inside the Embassy - there is a passport photo vending machine in the waiting room of the Embassy! Anyway I had to pay £18 for 4 photos - 2 of me and 2 of my daughter but like I have said I wouldn't have cared at this stage if they'd been £80 I was so stressed!
