Petition to Remove Conditions (I-751)
Hi,
I finally received a letter for my interview regarding the I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions. I was just wondering from other people's experience, whether you find out right there whether it is approved or not? With my initial GC I found out straight away but unsure if this is the case for the Petition to Remove Conditions. Thanks in advance.

Having to attend an interview for the ROC is unusual. Perhaps in all of my 21 years here we have had maybe a single handful of interviews and the majority of those were for people who were divorced and filing separately.
Please come back and let us know how you make out.

Rete, it actually is becoming the norm even for those that are not divorced. I read it on a few reliable sources, including this forum. I think it is pretty much mandatory now. Things have changed. I was totally expecting an interview request, and that doesn't bother me at all. Mine is indeed a divorce, however, even people that are still married are having to go for interviews. I'll keep you posted.
BenK91......thanks for sharing the Policy Memo.

I know when my wife and I went to my I-751 interview, the officer said it made a refreshing change to see a straightforward case, which suggests they now see everybody.
He did not want to see our supporting documents (originals of what we supplied with the application), only wanted to see the pics we took along which had our dogs on them (we talked about having dogs instead of children during the interview), and he was interested in seeing our wedding album, only 'cos it was a good looking professionally bound album from our wedding cruise (he also enjoys cruising). He told us it was the best wedding album he has seen.
It was just a routine interview, to confirm that everything in the application was still correct.
Whilst we were waiting for the interview, we saw other couples (non white) with interpreters, and/or attorneys. Makes me appreciate being a a privileged white male. "Welcome to 'murica".
