pending background check

Hi

I had my interview in July, 2006. My case is pending background check.
I'm in the process of moving to another state. Who is going to make
decision on my case? Is it the district I had the interview with or the
district I will be moving to?

Thanks for your feedback.

You will know after you move.

When you move, make sure you notify USCIS of your new address, in addition to sending the AR-11 and the I-865. This means a written notice to your current district office, and a written notice to your new district office alerting them that your file will be transferred there. Also call the 800 number (several times over the course of a few months) to report your change of address and to make sure it's correct in their database. Once you move, and your file gets transferred, I think the security check results will go to your new district office.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Wow, really? I have no useful advice here, but my husband had his
interview in early December, and is pending background check, and
we've been wondering and wondering why we haven't heard anything...
and who to call, if there is anyone.

It would be nice to have some concrete information about this. It
didn't occur to me to ask at the interview, because for some stupid
reason I thought we were talking weeks, not months.

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do. You can try getting a congressman or official involved, but usually they end up with the same information ... "pending".

Best Wishs,
Rene
