Default Packet 4 (Moscow)

Does anyone know how long it takes, from 2nd NOA, for the Embassy to send packet four
to fiancee? It's been three weeks so far and no word yet. Thanks.

Hi,

We got our 2nd NOA from Nebraska on the 23rd of October 2001. The forms arrived at
the Moscow embassy on about 1 December, about 5 weeks. My fiancee did not receive her
package from Moscow until 6 February. But we wrote email to the embassy to ask them
about it before then.

We wrote email starting a couple weeks after the K1 was approved in October and then
wrote about once every week or two. The first two times the embassy replied saying
they had not received it yet and would do nothing until they got it. The third time
they wrote back and said they had received it. They scheduled an interview and
notified us of the date by email. The date was 12 Feb and we waited for the forms to
arrive and instructions to arrive, but they did not. Finally we worked an arrangement
with the embassy that she would pick up the forms at the embassy just before the
interview, but then they finally arrived the day before she left.

You should find the web site for the US embassy in Moscow and read their info (look
it up on google.com). Then send an email to them, the address was
[email protected]. Ask them about the status, ask for an interview date and give
them your name, your fiancee's name and the date and A number on your second NOA.
They replied to our emails within a couple days. Keep your email short and to the
point if you want an answer.

Good Luck David and Natasha

Got the 2nd NOA on Nov 6. The Moscow embassy finally got the official paperwork from
NE SC, INS on Dec 5. I called on that date and had them send a packet. It arrived on
Jan 13, 2002. (Remember there was both the Christian Christmas and the Orthodox
Christmas plus New Year's in there). By that time I had requested another packet on
Jan 9. It arrived on Jan 27.

The info on the embassy web page has everything you need for the interview. Start
working on it now. The packet contains a colored (pink in our case) invitation letter
that is vital to get into the embassy. That's is the only thing that is not on the
web page. Good luck. Dave

NSC approved petition on April 1, 2002 we received packet from Moscow Embassy on May
10 with interview date scheduled for July 9, embassy did not acknowledge receiving
(by email) until after we had received packet, frustrating but never the less a very
pleasent surprise!

Best Wishes, Randy
