Hey does anyone know, or have any experiences, on how long its taking to get packet 3
from NVC for an I-130?

Mine was approved a week or so ago and just wondering what the wait is gonna be
like....It says on my 2nd NOA not to call unless 90 days have passed.

Hi Joey!

Here's what our experience has been.

June 11, 2002... I-130 approved at VSC. July 8, 2002.... I (USC) received I-864 and
DS-3032, I e-mailed the DS-3032 to my husband who filled it out and fed-exed it to
the NVC on July 9, 2002. It was received by the NVC on July 11th. July 29, 2002....
I-130 packet 3 was mailed from the NVC and received by me (designated as the agent
for my husband on the DS-3032) on August 8, 2002. I e-mailed it to my husband who
filled the DS-230 and the DS-2001 out and went for his physical on August 15th.
After the physical he dropped the forms off at the Frankfurt consulate and now we're
waiting for the interview date.

Before you get your Packet 3, you will get an Agent Choice Letter (ACL) and Form
DS-3032 (this is for you to choose to have the Packet 3 sent to you directly or
to an agent of your choice). Here's my timeline so far. I'm also waiting for
Packet 3 from NVC.

July 17, 2002 - Received I-130 Approval from CSC July 23, 2002 - NVC received my
approved I-130 from CSC August 6, 2002 - Received ACL & DS-3032 from NVC August 9,
2002 - Fed-exed DS-3032 to NVC August 12, 2002 - NVC received DS-3032

My (USC) timeline for Pakistani wife July 15 -- CSC Approves I-130 for wife July 29
-- NVC receives file, creates Islamabad case number Aug 12 -- I receive I-864 from
NVC Aug 17 -- I mail completed I-864 to St. Louis Aug 19 -- I-864 arrives in St.
Louis Aug 21 -- Wife receives DS-3032 from NVC Aug 22 -- Wife mails DS-3032

I spoke to NVC today, after they receive the DS-3032 from my wife, they will mail me
(her agent of choice) the DS-230 in 2-4 weeks. In the meantime, the I-864 should be
transported from St. Louis to NVC. Unlike info from INS, the timelines I have
received from NVC have been right on target.

My husband (in America) received I-864 forms and DS-3032 yesterday,I guess DS-3032
should be filled by me (applicant),so I appoint my husband as agent,he fill the form
for me.Am I right ? should he sign my name in Native Alphabet or just in English ?
should he send all these forms to NVC (National Visa Center P.O. Box 952200 St.
Louis, Missouri 63195-2200) ?

I heard NVC will send another packet to him contents DS-230 in 2-30 weeks after they
receive present packet, but that time he will be china with me. Can we download
DS-230 and send out together with DS-3032,I-864 etc. to NVC right now ? how much is
the total amount asked along with DS-230 ?
