Packet 3 arrived!!!

Forum members, Another update for those going the VSC/Montreal route. I got my
packet 3 today from the Montreal consulate. Recent posts suggested an average three
week wait between I-129F approval and packet 3. For me, it took 2 weeks and 1 day.
I am not complaining. VSC went a week above average in approving our I-129F, so
timeline back to my estimate. As I have everything ready from my side, I will
expresspost DS230-part1 and completed checklist to the consulate tomorrow itself.

Our timeline:- Jul 15 2002: VSC receives I-129F petition from Saba Jul 16 2002: VSC
issues NOA#1 Jul 18 2002: VSC posts NOA#1 Jul 20 2002: Saba receives NOA#1 from VSC
Aug 19 2002: VSC issues NOA#2 Aug 22 2002: VSC posts NOA#2 Aug 24 2002: Saba
receives NOA#2 from VSC Aug 26 2002: Saif receives a letter from the Montreal US
Consulate requesting "proof of Canadian citizenship" Aug 29 2002:
Montreal US Consulate receives "proof of Canadian citizenship" from Saif
Sep 03 2002: Saif receives "Packet 3" from Montreal
Our background:- Saba is a dual US and Pakistani citizen. Saif is a dual Canadian
and Pakistani citizen. Saba lives in New York City and Saif lives in Toronto. Both
intend to marry and live in either CT, RI or MA.
