Hi we are about 110 days out waiting on our I-129F approval from Nebraska.
First NOA June 5.
My question is this, can I call (or is it even adviseable) the Johannesburg
Embassy in South Africa where my Fiance will be interviewed, and ask them to
forward the first packet to her at this point so she can start the required
paperwork ? I read a post where a British couple did something similar
through the London Embassy (if I read correctly). There is a friendly
person I've spoken to in Johannesburg who I have a phone number for, so it
wouldn't be a problem making the contact via telephone.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Why not call? What's the worst thing that can happen? You might get some joy!

Mark,
I also filed through Nebraska, first NOA 06/18 and I'm about ready to do the same thing. I actually wrote a letter to the Consulate in Amsterdam and am planning to fax a letter requesting packet 3 later this week.
Good luck!
