hello everyone
can anyone tell me what is or might be in packet # 3 ?
would like to start gathering this information now.
we are going through the embassy in Frankfurt, Germany

1st NOA-Dec.19,02
2nd NOA- still waiting

Depends on embassy, here's mine......
 

1. Passport valid for at least six months
2. Two photos
3. Certified copy of your birth certificate (literal form)
4. Birth certificates of each unmarried child who needs a visa (literal form)
5. Divorce decree from the court if pertinent
6. Certified copy of marriage certficate if pertinent
7. DS - 156
8. Affidavit of Support (Form I-134), a copy of your petitioner's most recent federal income tax return, proof of your petitioner's current employment, and, if applicable, any job offers in the U.S.
9. Results of medical exam
10. Application fee of $65 or the equivalent in lempiras for each applicant
11. Proof of relationship

More Details:

1. Passports: Please make sure that there are no errors in your passport concerning your name, date of birth, or marital status.

2. Photos: Two carnet-sized photos.

3. & 4. Birth Certificate: For a person born in Honduras, the birth certificate must be an original copy issued by the Civil Registry known as the "Registro Nacional de las Personas". It must be in the long format known as the "forma literal". If the birth certificate indicates a delayed birth registration, known as a "reposicion", you must also bring the statement from the Civil Registry for the town where you were born that no previous birth registration exists. This is known as "una constancia negativa".
You must bring a certified copy of the birth certificate for yourself and any children traveling with you.

5. Divorce decree: If you or your petitioner were divorced, you must bring a certified copy of the divorce decree from the US or Honduran court that issued the divorce decree.

6. Marriage Certificate: For a person married in Honduras, the marriage certificate must be an original copy issued by the Registro de las Personas. For a person married in the US, you must submit a certified copy prepared by the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the state where you married.

7. Form OF-156: Fill out and sign two copies of the DF-156 application for a non-immigrant visa.

8. Affidavit of Support: This document, the I-134 form, and the supporting documentation are prepared by the person who filed your petition with the US Immigration and Naturalization Service. Your petitioner must send you the following:

· Form I-134 signed before a notary public by the petitioner

· Copy of the petitioner's last U.S. federal income tax return

· Proof of the petitioner's employment such as a job letter or pay statements

· Please also provide a copy of any letter offering employment to any applicant


9. Medical Exam: Please read the special instructions. There are three physicians in Tegucigalpa who conduct the medical exam for visa applicants.

10. Fees: You may pay the $65 visa application fee in US dollars or lempiras. You must pay in cash. If you have already paid at Banco Atlantida, you must bring both the white and the pink copy of your receipt to avoid paying again.

11. Proof of Relationship: If you are the family member of a United States Citizen, please provide documents that show how you have maintained your relationship. Examples of documents include photos taken during visits, copies of passport pages showing trips to Honduras, copies of phone bills, and letters.

Again, it depends on the embassy. My list is based on packet#3 requested in Honduras. This list will give you and idea of what is needed. Some things may vary throughout embassies.

Right - I noticed that your's doesn't require a police certificate and many do. I was just wondering what else may or may not be required for New Delhi or Chennai if someone knows.

Let me know what you find out please. My husband and I are going through Frankfurt too, for his K-3. Our first NOA is 1/16/03 and I would love to know what we need to prepare.

I went through the consulate in Frankfurt last year first via
the K3 route and then with the I130 visa. I have been in the
US now since december 14th. What kind of visa
will you use ? Then I can tell you what was in my respective
packages. Frankfurt really is a breeze and a very easy and
friendly consulate to deal with.
