Hi,
I read somewhere (I think it was a book about immigration procedures) that I can
give my own translation of my birth certificate, as long as it fits the commonly accepted rules (top: translated version, middle: my oath that I've translated everything the best I know, bottom/next page: copy of the orginal birth certificate)
Or maybe I should give it to a certified translator and pay extra $30 or so ?
thanks in advance,
Darek

I'm not really sure if you are allowed to translate your own or not, however if you do I would expect you may need it notified.
I filed in London and had to have a Spanish Police report translated.
I took it to the language dept at my local University and they did it and had it notarized as well.
I guess, better to be safe than sorry, but I'm sure someone will clarify the answer.
