Our story so far........
Hi everyone,
We thought we'd let you know that we are at last off the starting blocks.
Here's a link to my Homepage if you'd like a peek at some wedding pics. : -

Our wedding on 30 April was minimalist! No guests, but a webcam in the Register Office ensured that US family and distant UK friends could watch us getting hitched. When it was over we retired to the local pub, just the two of us.....perfect!
The UK process for US husband was fairly painless, if expensive.
Just over a week's wait for the UK Fiance Visa, and a 3 hour stint in the Immigration Office in Liverpool (by appointment), a few days after the wedding, got us to to the point where US husband has right of residence here for 2 years, and a fancy stamp in his passport.
It remains to be seen whether processes from here on will be similarly painless !
Best wishes to all
