I can't believe it! I am so happy and really just in disbelief. For the past 2 months, we have been trying to get information on our I-212, which was originally submitted in May to Arlington, Va. We (my lawyer, 2 congressional liasons and myself) have not been able to get any information as to the location or status of this paperwork and I believed it to be lost.
Today, I received a letter from one of my congressional liason's that contained some email correspondence that she had with the Nebraska Service Center's Congressional Liason. The response from NSC was that "The case is in transit to an officer. Please allow 3 weeks". It also had a Lin # so I immediately got online and checked the status and here's what it said:
---------------
Application Type: I212, APPLICATION TO REENTER AFTER DEPORTATION
Current Status:
Your I212 APPLICATION TO REENTER AFTER DEPORTATION was received at this office on December 2, 2003. It is taking between 15 and 30 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.
---------------
OMG! It's true...they found it! My fiance's interview is in a little over a month...it would be such a blessing if this is approved before his interview. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Lord!
It's been a wonderul day!!!

I also think that my congressional Rep played a HUGE part in helping to locate this file! Thank you Andrea (from Diana DeGette's Office)!
