Opening a bank account in USA.
To all experts here
Is it possible to open a bank account in US immediately after I arrived at
US as a new Legal Permanent Resident.
I am on the Green Card visa, but I have not got the actual Green Card yet.
So my only identification acceptable to the bank is my passport. I
gathered that the banks require 2 forms of ID (passport, Green Card, US SSN
card, US driving license) - is this true?
Can I use a UPS Store mailbox address to open a bank account in US? As a
newly arriving resident, I don't have any fixed place to live.
Thank you in anticipation

Don't worry about that. Thye want your business. Some back might be

Just write the address of the store and then put No. ### for mail box.
Do not write "mail box". But do provide the address you will be
staying and tell them that the other is mailing address. I have af
riend who does that because he wants all his mail (including his
payphomne business mial) arrive at UPS Store mail box.
