obtaining Interview in Moscow.
Hello all,
My fiancee K1 petition,was approved
through Nebraska,on Oct 15, 02.
I have been instructed by my attorney,
to wait a few weeks,(to allow the documents to be received at the
embassy in Moscow),then I am to call, and make an interview appointment
for my fiancee.
If there is any one, in this newsgroup,
who has done this next step, particular
to the US Embassy in Moscow,I would appreciate reading their experience.
Thanks John

Re: obtaining Interview in Moscow.
Hello John,
You do not make the interview appointment. It will be made for you by
the consulate after they receive your paperwork from Nebraska, and it
goes through security checks.
Hope you are sitting down because we have been waiting since July 5 for
an interview date. You can call Moscow and get an MOS-number, but that
is it. There is nothing you can do except wait, and wait, and wait.
As you are aware, they have NOT issued ANY visas in Moscow for Russian
fiances since July 22. They have issues visas for women from the
border states but that's it.
Don't call the $1.60 a minute hotline because they will not tell you
anything. There is a website you can check to see if your interview has
been scheduled at http://www.usembassy.state.gov/moscow/wwwhcisk.html
That's the painful truth of it so good luck and happy waiting.
