Wonderful pix, Rene. Still waiting to hear what the shortened first name was that he choose.

Thanks, Rete! Oh yes, the name change. He kept his true first name as Sadegh (he knew I'd kill him if he changed it to Sam...lol). He originally had a very long two-word last name, especially the last word was VERY hard to pronounce. So he shorted his last name to just the first part, and dropped the difficult last part. So now he just has a nice short, still-ethnic, but easier to pronounce, first name and last name.

Also a picture of the cake...Rete, notice anything familar?

Rene

My apologies for being so late to the party! Biggest congratulations to the new citizen and his lovely wife. You have been the epitome of patience and grace through this whole process and now you can simply concentrate on being happy together with no more USCIS. It is a great feeling, isn't it?

Thank you for your help through the years and tell that husband of yours that I said "Congratulations!"

It was indeed the whipped cream frosting (not butter cream).

Awww! Congrats Rene & Sadegh! I loved the Statue costume! Wish I would have thought of that for Scott's big day!

Btw, when we applied for Scott's passport, it only took about 3 or 4 business days..and that was using the expedited application. He's getting ready to use it for the first time on our vacation this week!

Here's to no more USCIS ever!!

hip hip hooray! Sorry to have missed the celebration. One of these days we'll have to get together for our own lunch with all US citizens at the table
Well done!
